Arca swiss type clamp for Manfrotto 244 Variable Friction Magic Arm.

Manfrotto 244 Variable Friction Magic Arm.is very handy tool. Small change to current clamps design will now let me use it with any arca swiss rail and plates.

Specs for this clamp:

• 2.375 inch long
• Clamp includes two safety stop relief grooves. This prevents free fall when the clamp is not closed.
• 2.6mm deep relief grooves guarantee compatibility with most plates/rails.
• Relief groove prevents free fall when the clamp is not fully closed and your plate has safety stops
• Clamp knob is captive. Knob stops at maximum opening — cannot be lost in the field.
• Tongue-in-pocket Design -Clamps have a tongue-in-pocket design that protects internal parts from dust and grit. It does prevent the tendency of the moving jaw to hinge backward during clamping, It keeps the jaws aligned with the geometry of the plate and eliminating unwanted bending forces on the threaded stud.

Manfrotto 808RC4 Arca Swiss Conversion

Fallowing very popular Arca Swiss conversions for Manfrotto 405 and Manfrotto 410 Gear heads I did create conversion plate for Manfrotto 808RC4 Pan/Tilt head.

Mounting hole location for 808 are shifted compare to 405/410 and plates from ether 405 or 410 can not be used on 808 head. Remaining specs are identical

Replacing original platform form 808 head required removing one screw from underneath and  attaching plate with two provided screws mounted as in picture below
